Our favorite wines to try for winter

As the months get colder and days get shorter, there is no better way to warm up than with a good glass of wine by the fire. So, this season we have rounded up a few of our favorite wines to enjoy during the brisk winter months with friends, family, and those you love. 

1. Lambrusco

Lambrusco, otherwise known as sparkling red wine, is projected to be some of the best-selling winter wines of 2023. With a bright, juicy red coloring, this wine is a true crowd-pleaser with a glass full of flavors. We love pairing a sparkling red with fruit-forward biscotti to bring out the vibrant cranberry and orange notes.

2. Merlot 

A winter classic, Merlot has a soft finish with flavors of red fruit. We love Merlot for not only these delicious flavors, but also its versatility which pairs nicely with rich winter dishes, including our famous Double Chocolate Walnut Biscotti. The warm notes of the wine bring out the chocolate and nutty flavors of this biscotti for a perfect evening treat.

3. Port 

Last, but certainly not least, Port is our go-to for dessert wine during winter. With a bold flavor that packs the perfect punch of sweetest in every sip, Port wine is a hostess's best party trick to wind down the evening with family or friends. We suggest pairing Port with our White Chocolate Raspberry Cookies, as the Port brings out the flavors of the Raspberry.
