Say Hello to the Hugo Spritz
A refreshing combination of Elderflower, mint, Prosecco, and club soda or seltzer, this cocktail is growing in popularity among beachgoers on the Amalfi Coast, but is still very much a secret to most travelers in Italy.
According to Mixology magazine, The Hugo Sprtiz was originally created in 2005 in the Italian town of Naturno by bartender Roland Grube as an alternative to the famous Aperol Sprtiz. Unlike the traditional Aperol Sprtiz, which has more of a tart flavor, the Hugo spritz has a more floral aroma and a touch of sweetness that makes it a top pick for many.
